Dr. Anthony Chen is a general dentist dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He then further completed a General Practice Residency at the Loyola University Medical Center where he received additional training in comprehensive care and management of a diverse patient population.
Dr. Chen provides a wide range of dental services, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures. He is committed to building long-term relationships with his patients through trust, transparency, and compassionate care. With a focus on clear communication, Dr. Chen ensures that every patient feels informed, confident, and comfortable throughout their treatment.

Oh Cheol Kwon, D.D.S.

Dr. Kwon is a general dentist providing skillful, customized treatment and highly aesthetic results using high-tech tools. Dr. Kwon believes prevention and top-quality care are the keys to a lifetime of good oral health. He is an excellent communicator and educates patients to help them understand the recommendations he makes. Dr. Kwon earned his doctorate of dental surgery at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, and he stays up to date on the latest advancements in his field through continuing education courses. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Southern Maryland Dental Society.

Jean Li, D.D.S.

Dr. Jean Li is a board-certified periodontist, dedicated to providing the best periodontal and implant service for patients in Dlight Dental.

Besides her DDS degree, Dr. Li also completed additional periodontal training in Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology which is a recognized specialty by the American Dental Association.

To be a diplomate of the American board of periodontology, significant achievement beyond the 3 years of training on periodontology is needed. With her more than 10years of experience on periodontology and implant surgery, she will deliver the finest periodontal care to patients in Dlight Dental.

John D. Tran, D.D.S.

Prosthodontist

Dr. John D. Tran brings advanced training, surgical precision, and a passion for patient care to Dlight Dental. After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland at College Park, he completed his DDS and a three-year residency in Prosthodontics at the University of Maryland, specializing in full-mouth rehabilitation and cosmetic restorations. Dr. Tran further advanced his skills with a fellowship at Loma Linda University’s Center for Implant Dentistry, focusing on comprehensive implant procedures like bone grafting, sinus lifts, All-on-X, and same-day smile transformations.
An Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a recipient of multiple professional awards, Dr. Tran is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. He is also committed to giving back through outreach initiatives and looks forward to helping every patient achieve a beautiful, healthy smile at Dlight Dental.

David Desta, D.D.S.

Dr. Desta’s passion for providing quality dental care is evident in his education and experience. Since he was young, he was interested in sciences. In 2000, he received his Bachelor in Microbiology, followed by a Master degree in Pathology from Boston University. Following completion of his master’s program, he began his passion in research at Boston University. With time, Dr. Desta decided that he wanted to apply his knowledge of microbiology and pathology in patient care. He enrolled at Howard University for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Since his graduation, Dr. Desta completed a General Practice Residency at Flushing Hospital in New York. He entered private practice in 2015 and became a comprehensive general dentist in Maryland and DC. After two more years of intense training which began in 2020, he completed a Certificate in Endodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of West Virginia School of Dentistry, where he served as Chief Resident and completed innovative research in CBCT imaging in the field of endodontics. Dr. Desta believes in the right for all people to receive exceptional dental treatment. He is excited to scale his expertise and provide outstanding care in the field of Endodontics, while understanding and spending many years in comprehensive dental care.
In his spare time, Dr. Desta enjoys long walks with his wife and their puppy, KC. He is an avid football fan and enjoys visiting new places.

The minute you walk through our doors, our team will greet you and get you checked in and ready for your consultation.
